Chapter 4: Adjusting the Settings

After starting your navigation device, the screen gives you the available function areas of your na-

vigation system to choose from.

This button starts the the map view.

This button starts the navigation menu.

This button starts the Other applications menu. Information about operating

the other functions on your navigation system can be found in the device

manual.

Use this button to start the settings menu to adjust the ba

sic settings of your

navigation system. The available setting options are described in the follow-

ing section.

If you want to accept the default settings of your navigation system or have already made your

personal settings, you can skip the following pages and go directly to the next chapter.

Specific settings for the navigation software

After start-up, your navigation system launches the settings assistant that guides you through all

the important settings step by step. You can also accept the default settings, which you can

change at any time in the Settings menu to meet your personal needs. Open the Settings menu by

pressing the button, available at the lower edge of the screen in the Navigation menu. The

settings assistant can also be called up at a later time using the settings menu of the same name.
